CeBit Visit

As you know, the CeBIT Trade Show in Hanover was last week’s place to be for all IT businesses. It is considered a barometer of current trends and a measure of the state of the art in information technology. Were you there too?

With an exhibition area of roughly 450,000 m² (5 million ft²) onto 14 halls, around 3,000 exhibitors and 200 000 visitors. It outlined all the opportunities for enterprise ? from SMEs to large companies.

ABM was present at the event with its German team and received positive feedback on its CustomsWare software product.

The main focal points of ABM’s visit to CeBIT were the ERP Park and the SalesForce hall.

ERP and CRM systems are taking dynamics and moulding them into the freight forward / handling operations ecosystem. They have become very cost effective to the end customer and this is a vertical where ABM can definitely add value as CustomsWare is a perfect fit.

The customs declaration is an integral part of the international supply chain within logistics, and this area is currently changing dramatically.
These changes, by the national customs authorities, offer additional revenue potentials, but also undoubtedly certain challenges, even by the current political changes.

Throughout the event we were able to engage with several participants from different vectors of the software industry and got positive feedback from one of the most compelling platforms currently in the market, SAP.

Moving forward, our next steps out of the CeBIT aftermath is to further understand the further market needs in this sector, particularly within the ERP and SAP vectors, where we could see significant changes happening.

What were your own experiences and learning in CeBIT this year? Let us have a chat about it.
